Mike has been reportedly sick for some days now. If he is I hope he gets better. He may not have a 'high polish' but that is OK with me, but his temper may be a problem.

In any event, Mike got fairly apoplectic the other day when Sheriff Tom Hodgson called in to defend himself. It got ugly and I can't say the Sherriff was the one to take it there.

Mike hasn't been on air for several days now and when asked by callers the response has been; 'He is sick'.

Oddly enough he is not listed as one of the staff of WSAR on their website anymore. Even if the sheriff was the devil he wasn't handled properly by Mike Herren.

Contrary to what Mike and others may think, the media controls nothing and they are not all powerful. All any media outlet can do is report the news.

Their only power is in what they do not report or altering the facts to sway public opinion. That kind of power is not sustainable.

I haven't listened to wsar for the last couple of days because the ballgame was being broadcast. I don't know what to think about Hurricane, some days I like him and other days I can't stand him. ...........Rebecca

When he first started he was a bit shaky but he did hit a certain stride after a while. Then he started to change and not for the best, unfortunately. He is a talk radio show host. His succcess or failure is measured by commercial sales and full phone lines. I often listened to him also, but he has been 'de-evolving' as a talk show host lately in my opinion. He forgot that he is not bigger than life....no one is. If you decide to attack a point of view or, the position of a public figure one must have irrefutable facts not anger to make your point. Obviously time will tell what happened. I do wish him well.

It appears he's gone. Not a trace of him anywhere on the WSAR site.

The word is he has "Decided to pursue other interests" According to a host filling in his old time slot. Or, was he told to pursue other interests.

I wonder if it has any connection to the lawsuit filed by Keri Rodrigues?

I am pretty sure that the final event that caused his 'decision' to 'pursue other interests' was the fact that Seriff Hodgson called Mike's show to defend his reputation which Herren was just dragging through the mud....quite unfounded in my opinion just one more time.

Even if you attack a public official as viciously as he has repeatedly done to Hodgson, whether the atack is founded in fact or not if you do it in such an unprofessional manner the end is inevitable.
What is Kerry basing her lawsuit on, gender? Mass is an at will state when it comes to employment so it has to be gender based or she has one tough task on her hand and a 'slap typre' lawsuit could result in her financial ruin.
