FALL RIVER — While four business owners this year did not file in time for license renewals and needed to apply for new ones, the City Council held a special meeting Monday night for a fifth owner and voted 4-2 to save him the time and expense.


Ok allymcb. Assuming everything you say is accurate, and I'm not saying that it is. But for the sake of conversation, let's say you are correct. When is the last time that Joe Camara implemented the FOJ statute and called an emergency meeting to correct "ineptitude of the city clerk's office" ??

Having read what has been written about me in the paper and the comments made by people, I feel that I need to address the public with the truth.

With that said, I would like to personally invite Mr. Poulin, Mr. Mitchell and anyone else that has any misconceptions about the licensing process or me trying to duck out of paying fees (which is ridiculous) to my body shop. This way, anyone interested can tour the facility and personally go over the laws and regulations that govern the great Commonwealth of Massachusetts and realize that the only one that was actually breaking the law, were the parties telling business owners to operate illegally.

p.s. At the council meeting, I was asked if I ever spoke to anyone in the clerk’s office, to which I replied ‘no’. After that, Mr. Mitchell went on the radio and slandered my name.

You have to hand it to Mr. Garcia from Carl's Collision. He's right out there willing to discuss the issue with anyone that wants to take him up on it. There is nothing in it for him since he already has a license. Yet he's putting himself out here, signing his name, and willing to face any of his challengers.

Right or wrong, you have to respect him.
