Where did everyone go!!

This forum had some great members. What happened?? I pop in occasionally but the place is dead. This forum has power to keep FR and other local towns residents informed only if it has active respondents.

The site continues to get a ton of page hits every day, but very little participation. I have not been able to figure out why people will register and post like crazy on the Herald News site, when their posts are gone after a day or so. I wish I had the answer. I have thought about making this site a non-registration site so that people can comment anonymously, but the site would be attacked with spam. As it is, somebody spends about 20 minutes every day deleting and banning spam posts that slip thru the spam software.
It's at the point now where the site is probably not relevent anymore and maybe not worth the effort and expense to keep it running. We just cannot get people to participate here. As the new year approaches, we will make a decision whether or not to cut our losses and close the site. :(

p.s. we are open to any suggestions or constructive criticism.

I just signed up myself and am a bit disappointed. I thought there would be more participation.

I would hate to see the site go away
like some other good sites have gone.

Heres an idea...............

How about posting fliers for the site at the corkboards in the Grocery stores
communtiy centers, high rises, back of a bus?

then make fliers for local stores to display in their windows;
promising them FREE advertisement = They design themselves.


Have givavays to the
millionth post to the site
or
1,000 post for the member
or a voting contest of the best photo og the week.

the prize could be something trivial

a free meat pie from Sams..
A Free sweet bread from Cinderellas


I'm sure we can come up with something
