The mexican place at the bottom of President Ave. next to the Chinese take-out. I ate there several times and liked it. It was always packed. Now it's gone. Anybody know what happened with Caliente ?

Man, this guy knew how to make a taco! I was seriously addicted to the carne asada soft tacos. and the homemade salsas... and the chicken mole... this was some serious CA-style Mexican food. I am dying to know what kitchen he is working in now!

A Few Weeks Ago I Took My Kids To Canoby Lake Park. We Needed To Eat And Found A Yummy Mex. Rest. Called Tio Juans Margarita's Mexican Restaurant And Watering Hole. By Far The Yummiest Mex. Food I Had Ever Had. I Have Been Craving It Badly. I Did Some Research And The Closest One Is In Weymouth Ma. It Is A Drive But Well Worth It. I Cannot Wait To Go Back.:d

In E. Providence on Rt 1. The margaritas are KILLER, food isn't bad, except for the fajitas are awesome. We keep going back for the drinks though.

Would love to find some closer, GOOD mex food. Tito's is good (Middletown is much better than Seekonk), El Parque is ok (not great, not bad). Has anyone tried the new mexican place that opened where Tony's was on Main Rd in Tiverton?

Generally, you can not get good mexican food on this coast. Although, the west coast leaves a lot to be desired in the pizza department so it balances out.

I would highly reccomend The Border Cafe in Cambridge and "Cactus Club" in Boston (Boylston Street).

It is ironic that a city full of latins (I wn't use the term Latin American, as I suspect many of them are undocumented) can not support a Mexican eatery.

There is a Taco Bell on Plymouth Avenue and several Mexican bars in the city as well.

Caliente was a fine eatery with fair prices. It is a shame it will be replaced with what seems to be yet another gin mill.

I believe that the old Frankie's on Rte 6 in Seekonk is also a Tito's now.

Gin Mill? Who says the new place is going to be a gin mill??? You really need to get off your high horse!

Let's hope it doesn't. It would be nice to have a casual eatery in the area.

I'm looking forward to dining there.

They're Latinos and they don't speak Latin.

So, you're saying that no Latino can speak Latin?

You, sir, are a racist.

I have known Latino priests that could speak Latin. Since when is speaking a language a prerequisite for being of a certain race/nationality?

Is someone of Chinese decent who can not speak Chinese not Chinese?

Oh, and professor, could you please explain:

latinsonline.com

So a Latino speaks Latino?

Here we go again. Do you get some form of enjoyment out of putting a spin on what other members say? I'm beginning to believe you're a very frustrated person.

Sean, you call me a racist? In post #10, you mention, "a city full of Latins, you won't use the term Latin Americans, many of them are undocumented". I post #14, out of nowhere, you pull out, "Latino Priests and the Chinese". Please do not call me racist. I've already been called names referring to my nationality. I might be Latino myself. So, there you go again, shooting yourself in your other foot and getting ready to stick in your mouth, too.
Do Latinos speak Latino? No bonehead, they speak Spanish. I'll be patient. Things like you always go away after being rubbed with Preparation H.

Sean is a pretty out there guy. I remember him on WSAR and then there was a big falling out between him and another host.

I think Happy Hec had a heart attack and Sean filled in for him and said how much better a host he was.

Sean is a bit nutty but he is funny. I remember him accusing Mike Moran of stealing his banjo. I thought it was a bit but he was serious.

If the administrator can legally do that, put me down as a YES vote. If not, I totally agree with you.

Although I can do it, I really don't like to ban people for voicing their opinion due to freedom of speech. However, if the said person's opinion infringes on others' rights, I will ban said person.

The bans given are 10 days, unless I go and due a permanent IP address ban.
