If you answered "no", please tell us why. Fax machines can be had for as low as $19.00 after rebates at Staples and OfficeMax. You don't need a separate phone line, as you can just set the fax to "manual" and use it as a regular telephone, and a fax when you need it. It uses plain copy paper (about $3.00 per bundle).
If you are in business, any business, at some point a customer or a supplier will ask you to fax them something. How do you think you come across when you tell them your business does not have a fax? Does "rinky dinky" ring a bell?
A business calls you for a quote, you ride by as soon as possible, wouldn't it be nice to call the owner back with a quote and also say " I'd like to fax you a copy so you have it in writing exactly what I'm offering"? A fax is easy and it's a time saver. You can go see him also...but it's nice to be the "1st one in the door"with a quote in his hand in case he's ready to pull the trigger now.
What if the other guy faxed his quote and got the job because he impressed the customer with his efficiency?
You need a parts list or a written quote from a supplier. If they fax it to you, you'll have it in 2 minutes. Mail it and you'll have it in a week. It seems that for a $20 investment, a fax is a no brainer.
Here's the fax that is almost always offered at $19.00 after rebate by the big office supply companies. It works great, it's cheap, and when it "shit's the bed" you throw it out and go get another one.
