Isn't it amazing how CAV complains about the state of the city finances when she herself went bankrupt. (see the story at inquirefallriver). You know, Bob Correia and WSAR's Barry's pal went bankrupt. Now there's somebody we should have offering suggestions about straightening out city finances. Better than that, Mike (I floated over from Swansea on a barge) Lund did too. And you'll never guess who his lawyer was...None other than Kevin Ainsworth, the brother of CAV.... At least CAV hit the lottery so she could buy her mansion in Westport and gave it up to move to a condo in Fall River after they ran her out of Westport...now she and Lund "live" in the same condo complex..... Only in Fall River does this happen. Imagine, some day we could have a Mayor experienced in how to handle bankrupsy in case she drives the city into it.

In all fairness, bad times can fall on any of us. Bankruptcy is not pleasant and I'm sure it was not an easy choice for these people. I don't even think you can say that it reflects their capabilities or ethics. Here's a few other names that have filed bankruptcy: Donald Trump, Walt Disney, Larry King, Willie Nelson, Burt Reynolds, Wayne Newton, Jerry Lewis, Latoya Jackson, Francis Ford Coppola, Melvin Belli, Abraham Lincoln (yes, the President),P.T. Barnum,
Lorraine Bracco (Soprano's), Ulysses S. Grant (yes, the President), Don Johnson(Miami Vice) and on, and on, and on. I just don't think the bankruptcy issue is any negative reflection on these people. I think you'll also notice that these people that have had failures, are also among the most successful.:)

Please find a news article where they 'called out' a public official for
mis management and theft . People who live in glass houses should
not throw stones. They don't get a pass sorry.

I'm sorry, I don't get your point. How about an article on President Nixon? He died a respected and well thought of elder statesman. More television coverage for his burial than any other President in history. Is that an example you were asking for?
For closer to home we can refer to Mayor Buddy Cianci. I can't imagine him getting any more respect and forgiveness than he already receives.

I am referring to the fact that CAV basically called the former administration on the 6th floor thieves before the facts came out- the state audit was a sham and now we are paying 1.2 million dollars to fix it with consultants? Who are the consultants? the task force is made up of people that
contributed to the mayors campaign- check it out on fallriverblog.com

So does the fact she claimed bankruptcy matter? Yes she is claiming to
be a financial manager and if she can't manage her finances she should
not be making these types of decisions for the taxpayers.

Daisy's point is did any of these people call out anyone else for mis management and call them crooks BEFORE the facts were known. Yes, people do face hard times in their lives and it is nice to see them become successful again, but they did it with hard work and perserverence, not by being small and calling people crooks and mis managers. Unforetunately, CAV was "fortunate" enough to hit the lottery, so we can rule out "hard work" in her case can't we?? Daisy's right, people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, in CAV's case, misguided boulders. Buddy Cianci spent time in prison for his crimes. He broke the law and paid the price. CAV accuses Ed Lambert of breaking the law but offers no proof, just insinuations to make headlines.

Thank you for clarifying the point that I missed. Now that I understand, I absolutely agree with the both of you.

I was unaware of the bankruptcy "thing" here. But I agree.. I wouldn't want someone who claimed bankruptcy making my financial decisions....

Sahm,

I meant your significant other works for the city and that would be why
you are anonymous on this blog, same reason the rest of us are.
There are plenty of rumors out there but I find the news media give us
the biggest spin when they should be investigating and giving the facts.
Therefore the reason I read the blog sites, you will find out more info
that way, then the Herald and Wsar read them to get ideas for their
stories !!! Listen to wsar some time when they start commenting
on the herald new stories and vice versa.
