Mayor Robert Correia announced he hired James W. Clarkin, a well-known city attorney whose practice is at 84 North Main St.
His annual salary as part-time counsel will be $75,000.
His duties will include handling labor negotiations, grievances, arbitrations and other labor hearings before the Division of Labor, the American Arbitration Association and Civil Service.
