Friendly's Swansea

Friendly's (Swansea) is probably the best deal around for a kids menu. Great meals for $4.99 and $6.99 all inclusive. The meal includes a drink of your choice (including a Jr Friendly Fribble) and an ice cream sundae or your choice. My kids usually get the sundae's "to go" because they are too stuffed to eat it there. For adults.. you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
p.s. I'm not crazy about the Fall River location. The management and food is nowhere near the quality of the Swansea store.

Didn't the Somerset Friendly's close maybe 7 years ago?? Do you mean the Swansea one?

I remember the Somerset one since my parents' former Chinese restaurant used to be right next door.

Your right Koopa ! I forgot I was in Swansea. I remember going into the Somerset Freindly's as a kid . I don't ever remember the food being as good as it is now. I lived right around the corner from that place behind the hardware store. Thanks for the correction.

Ok... I'm sad to report that Friendly's had a great thing going, and they killed it. Went there tonight with my kids. New menu's, new management, new food, incredibly slow service, lousy kids menu's. To sum it up.. what had been one of my favorite restaurants, now is lousy. My young kids always ordered cheeseburgers from the kids menu. Now there are no burgers on the kids menu. Only "sliders". Those tiny little premade, and precooked burgers that they microwave. The waitress told us it's part of the new managements changes and that they don't want anyone in the restaurant longer than 30 minutes. Well... it took forever to get our food. I was told that they only operate with one grill now instead of 2, so everything is slower. When it came time for deserts whe warned us that deserts were running 20-25 minutes because they only have 1 desert person now, as opposed to 3 in the past. This was on a rainy night and the place was maybe 1/2 full. They even stopped giving out balloons to the kids.

I don't remember their food being good, but I've been surprised lately with their sandwich/burger choices. I used to be wary of eating there, but it's actually really good.

Bob, try Friendly's in Dartmouth. I believe the manager from Swansea has been relocated there.

I agree that it is a very good value for a local chain restaurant.
