Having been a resident for 8 years now I am used to some of the idiosyncrasies of the Troy City. Ok so the city buses stop running at 6pm. I mean there is not much to do after 6pm around here anyway right ???
I had to be in NYC earlier this week and I was planning on returning late Wednesday afternoon. I didn't want to pay for parking in NYC so I took the Peter Pan bus instead. Did you know the last bus to Fall River from NYC is at 3pm!!! Of course I was not going to be finished with my business until after 5pm.
I had to impose on some wonderful friends to come pick me up at the bus station in Providence because I could not get back home.
With all the problems with the Fall River, improving access to the place would be an excellent start. If we can't get here, how do we hope to improve the city in any way???

I know what you mean. The bus from Providence to Fall River is somewhat limited. I do the NYC thing a lot and experience the same thing. The parking lot at the bus terminal in Providence is pretty inexpensive and safe, so I just drive to Providence and leave the car in the lot at the bus station. The train to NYC is good too, but I've done them both many times and the bus is by far the fastest and most reliable. Especially if you take the nighttime bus, I think it's 8pm. There's no traffic and it gets there in less than 3 hrs. Hardly time to finish watching the movie.
