Please make sure you are with the kids on Halloween night, especially with the awful things that have been going on in the city of late.
I remember when I was a kid we would grab a pillowcase (to fill with candy) and with a group of friends, would start out for a fun filled night. I don't remember my mother being too concerned, but today you can't help but feel worried every time your kid leaves the house. We would come home with the pillowcase filled to the top, spill it out on the table, then go through the ritual of seperating the candy into like piles of deliciousness. Oh the good old days, they really weren't, but as a kid I thought as long as I had a supply of candy everything was good. I'm sure there were lots of awful things that went on then as today, but I don't think we were as aware of them, or a least we didn't speak about them.:)............Have and fun and safe Halloween......Rebecca
